Dominic Fa’anoi has lived in Wellington Central since 1972, a product of St Pats College, Wellington. He has met many wonderful people throughout his varied working life after leaving college.
Dominic began as a motor mechanic working for New Zealand Motor Corp and Honda over 7 years. From 1986 he moved into a long term role with the Department of Corrections Wi-tako-Rimutaka & Arohata spanning 17 years. Dominic was a member of the Designated Senior Officers team, their main focus being maximum and high security offenders. The respect held for him bear testament to the way he negotiated and conducted himself to in order to prevent conflict.
Dominic’s next challenge was to coach a Rimutaka Prison League team under UHRL in 1991 to the final and won it outright. The team was made up of high risk individuals, 9 different gang members, (to wear the same colour was not an easy task) however he was determined to turn it around. General Manager Brian McMurray praised and commended Dominic and his Team for an incident free season from start to finish, concluding a live interview with John McBeth on Channel 0ne news.
Dominic, Senior Sargent Dallas Crampton and Porirua Police Area Commander John Spence are the Founders of the Porirua Community Guardian 2004, the very first in the wellington area. The aim is to identify, assist, and help to reduce anti- social behaviour.
Dominic and his wife owned and operated the Pacific Business Award Winning Fa’anoi’s Pharmacy Lotto over 10years, in which time Dominic completed a management course.
Dominic is a devoted family man. With his two boys attending St Pats town, it has given him the opportunity to return “home” now settling in Hataitai. Dominic’s life revolves around family, work and supporting his childrens activities as often as possible. He played for MSP between 1975-1983, and was a member of the red “machine” 1979, arguably and “simply the best” Senior A team MSP ever produced. He also played rugby league for Upper Hutt Tigers and competed Mr Wellington body builder competitions in the late 1990’s. Dominic is a personal trainer and massage therapist, with cooking is his other passion in life. His career changes feel like a natural move, with over 20 years of business and sales experience, dealing with customers and clients.
Due to the diversity of cultures throughout the Wellington Region, Dominic can bridge the gap with his ability to relate to most people. He sets high standards and goals for himself and constantly puts plans and strategies in place to help him accomplish this. His confidence, determination and commitment to execute each task to the best of his ability in order to achieve the best result, will continue to prove a winning combination. He listens, observes, and gathers information about his clients wants and needs. Dominic will provide professional advice to suit each individual he deals with, and has thorough support from the Century21 Team. With by far the best systems in place, the support and up-to-date training will enable him to achieve the very best for you.
Because you deserve nothing but the BEST.
